Recommendations for a good cheap netbook or laptop.

I know that cheap and good don’t usually go together in the tech world but I would appreciate some ideas here. Here is what I am looking for: either a netbook or laptop in the $200-300 range that can last a very long time unplugged preferably 6 plus hours, support basic apps like gmail and Firefox, built in WiFi, can connect printers and has decent performance (speed). Any ideas?
