The double Edged Sword of Technology

Has everyone marveled at the speed information and dis-information travels in this age thanks to the development of technology? A lot of people search out information that support their ideas and often ignore information that contradicts them. I see groups of people becoming more and more tribal because of this blending of evolutionary paradigms with the rapid dissemination of information made possible by technology.
