Who is 5g aimed at?

Maybe I'm just being cynical but with 1000 feet range and not usable indoors, it is never going to used. It's obvious manufacturer's are pushing it the same as they did with 3d tvs, especially with pretty much every business having wifi.

Would it be more realistic to increase 4g capacity so everyone gets 50+mbs?
